YoYo’s Stockings (In Progress)
I’ve cast on for the thigh-high (gasp!) stockings and have worked one sock already up past the cuban heel. I’ll be starting on the calf shaping soon, and I’m still loving the pattern! Here’s my progress so far:
I’m using Socks that Rock in Rose Quartz – I ordered four skeins to complete the thigh-highs, so I should have plenty. I’m knitting them in the Tall/Medium size, with the cuban heel. I got gauge with a size 1 needle (although I’m thinking I may go with a 1.5 for the second sock, depending on how things go.)
Thoughts on the pattern so far – Marnie is NOT KIDDING about making sure you try them on as frequently as you can. These fit like a glove everywhere but around the ankle – snug, snug snugsky! I should have given some more thought to the stretch and give of the lace versus the less-stretch-and-give of stockinette – these are awfully snug at the ankle. I could frog them back and adjust, but I’m on such a time crunch – I will probably go up to at least a size 2 needle for the ankle on the second sock, though.
They’re for a very special occasion – I’ll be wearing these at my wedding! And lest you should worry that no one will see them because they’ll be hidden by the dress – trust me, I’m sure I’ll be flashing them all over the place – they’re so beautiful!

Bellocq Stockings KAL
Hello and welcome to this blog.
This is going to be an open KAL, so no given start/end dates. Mostly a place to discuss the joys and tribulations of working these stockings, whether you’re knitting the crew, knee or thigh high version.
I’ve made a couple of categories that you can click when you post. You are not obliged to use them, but it does make it easier if someone’s looking for a specific thing.
Feel free to post pictures of your socks… I’ll do my best and add some too hehehe.

Hiya,
I’ve been wanting to knit these babies ever since I saw the pattern… Normally I’d knit the crew version, but I kinda love the knee high version. My problem though is that I want to knit them using KP Gloss, but I only have 2 skeins in each colorway… because of that I’m thinking of making them using the Burgundy colorway and when I run out ‘top’ them of using the Chocolate colorway… or maybe the other way round… it would remind me of chocolate covered fruit
What are you planning to do? Lemme know
