I got this pattern… oh, almost two weeks ago. I’m waiting for my KP Gloss to come in the mail so I can get started, but I’m raring to go!

I live in Denver and we’re doing a 5280 Feet Challenge to see how long it takes Denver knitters to knit 5280 pairs of socks (and we realise it’s technically 10,560 feet, but we’re ambitious). This will be like killing two birds with one stone.

Well, three. I’m knitting them for my sis-in-law, so it’ll be a Mother’s Day present (or something — I have no idea how long it will take) that I won’t have to try to shop for.

Oh. Four birds. My brother is VERY jazzed about the idea of thigh-high lace stockings.

That’s my story. I’ll be back when I have more.

I am interested in making mitts/fingerless gloves with the lace pattern of the bellocq stocking. I have wicked hand eczema, and sometimes I just want to cover the bloody thing up. I have plain mitts, but they don’t always do the trick. A girl needs to feel sex-ay now and again right? :) What better way than with this beautiful pattern?

    Any tips?

    Ciao,
    Megan
